When planning ahead, there are options to consider, including whether to organise and pay for the entire service in advance, or simply to set money aside to contribute towards funeral expenses. Your choice of Funeral Director is also very important.

A prepaid funeral plan means you can fix the cost of a funeral with your Funeral Director, by obtaining a pre-paid contract which documents your wishes in detail. Another option is a funeral bond investment which will help your peace of mind knowing you have money set aside to meet the costs of future funeral expenses. You can either invest this money directly with a Friendly Society, or with a Funeral Director who can help document your wishes.
